An integral part of the ongoing success of our company is the Damage Recovery Unit (DRU).  When damage occurs to our company property - primarily our rental vehicles - the Damage Recovery Unit works to recover costs for those damages. DRU claim centers handle all claims involving damage to, and recovery for, company vehicles.

The Damage Recovery Unit is made up of five positions that work together in a professional office environment.  Claim files are handled with specialized functions flowing from one person to the next for completion. 

Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 6:00pm to allow for flexible scheduling options. 

The Examiner reviews all new losses and determines their recovery potential against the responsible parties.

• Process an appropriate number of claim files per day and complete the exam process within 24 hours of assignment of claim file
• Accurately determine responsible parties and their correct information for billing
• Evaluate each claim file relative to the purchase of damage waiver, preferred rate agreement, and plan codes and determine whether or not any protection applies to the claim file
• Evaluate and identify potential injuries and/or liability and notify the appropriate claims organization
• Make appropriate internal and external contacts to obtain necessary information
• Review all information provided to assure accuracy
• Identify defect allegations and act immediately to place vehicles on hold; Take appropriate actions based on established claims handling procedures
• Approve vehicles for repair
• Send timely contact letters to responsible parties
• Update system notes and data fields

This position pays $25,600.00/annually.

Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, allowing for flexible scheduling options. This position is full-time.

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Some college preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of administrative, clerical or office work experience required
• Prior claims experience preferred
• Must have experience in working on a PC and a foundation of Microsoft Office Products and navigating the internet
• Must be able to work full-time
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship, now or in the future
